Nava provides software to independent jewelry stores. This policy covers what we do with information in that software. Where a jewelry store uses Nava to serve its own customers, that store decides what it collects and why; we hold it on their behalf.
We do not collect payment card numbers. Card payments are handled by Stripe, and the card details go to Stripe rather than to us.
A jewelry store texts its own customers through Nava, under its own name and its own carrier registration. Customers give consent at the counter or on the shop's website when they leave a phone number for a repair or a layaway. Messages relate to that transaction: the piece is ready, a payment was received, a balance is due.
Message frequency varies with the transaction. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Opting out is recorded immediately and stops all further messages from that shop.
We do not sell phone numbers, and mobile numbers collected for text messaging are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Each shop's records are held in its own separate database schema. One shop cannot query another's data. We use a small number of processors to run the service — a database and application host, Twilio for messaging, Stripe for payments, and an email provider for the daily summary — and they see only what they need to perform that function.
For as long as the shop uses Nava, since a repair from four years ago is often exactly what someone needs to look up. When a shop closes its account we export its data to it and delete our copy within 60 days, apart from what we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons.
If you are a customer of a jewelry store that uses Nava and want your details corrected or removed, ask the store directly — they control their own records, and they can act immediately. If you would rather come to us, write to privacy@navaai.app and we will pass it on and follow up.
